This axolotl was freehand crocheted by Founder and President of VIP's Fund, Daphne Matter (pretending like it's not me writing this description right now lol). She is made of second-hand yarn from a donor, and stuffed with hundreds of scrap pieces. We encourage our artists to keep their small yarn scraps and then we collect them in a big fishbowl that we can reach into any time we need to stuff a plushie. This way, we can eliminate waste from the production process and ensure the sustainable sourcing of every material used!
