These pieces were created by KOJIMA, a cooperative for single women in Madagascar who are experiencing homelessness and financial insecurity. With the exception of a few zippers and handles here, these bags and baskets are woven entirely from raffia, a renewable grass that grows near the village, and revamped pieces of plastic pollution collected and cleaned by the artists.
